The High Springs area has many attractions and offers some of Florida's best in antique and fine art stores.
There are numerous other small shops to peruse and an opportunity to wander peacefully past the many historic buildings dating back to the late 1800's.
If you are more energetic, then High Springs is the ideal area for water activities of all types. Within the area, is offered swimming, canoeing, cave diving, scuba, snorkeling, rafting and tubing. All take place on the many rivers and natural springs that abound within a few miles of town. Hiking and horseback riding is also available nearby. There are several state parks within easy driving distance, Gainesville, home of the University of Florida, is only a twenty minute drive and offers additional sight-seeing activities, restaurants, museums and cultural activities.
The High Springs Country Inn, situated on two acres, has been completely refurbished by us, the new owners.
Our spacious, "Springs Rooms" offer two full-size comfortable beds together with amenities such as coffee making equipment and supplies, cable TV, refrigerator, and telephone. Each room has a new bathroom with tub / shower, elegant cherry wood furniture and is newly carpeted. The rooms accept four guests and a "fold-away" bed can be provided for children if required.
Our "Dogwood Rooms" have one full-size bed and offer all the same amenities as the larger rooms. These rooms accept one or two guests. They have large walk-in showers and the furniture is scrubbed oak giving the rooms a light and airy feel.
All rooms are air-conditioned and electric heat is provided for winter use. A large volume ice-machine provides free ice for all hotel guests.
Recognizing that security is always important to our guests, we have installed solid doors in metal frames to each room. The doors have fitted dead locks and an external peephole viewer.
There is adequate parking next to the rooms and the gardens at the rear of our buildings offer a quite, relaxed place to wander or sit under the trees.
We gladly accept children and offer a comfortable, and offer a secure family environment. Our room rates are shown on the next page, and reservations can be secured with a Visa or Master Card. Check out time is 11:00 AM. We hope to extend a warm welcome to you in the very near future.
