44th Annual Pioneer Days Festival Coming Soon!
Time & Location
About the Event
We hold the Annual Pioneer Days Festival on the fourth weekend of April every year. It is located in the historic downtown district of High Springs with the central attractions being located in or near James Paul Park.
The festival features vendors selling handmade crafts, clothing, furniture and other goods; artists selling their wonderful creations; merchandisers selling unique and often locally produced items.
At the gazebo located in the sinkhole, we have old timey and folk music presented by various local and national artists throughout the day for both days presented by High Springs Music In The Park & Concert Series, Inc.
A special highlight of the festival each year is the Heritage Village where skilled artisans demonstrate skills and crafts from the pioneer period of our history. Inside the Historic Elementary School Building and Community Center there are many features including the Railroad Museum and a wealth of artifacts from the pioneer period.
There is the Kids Korral where there are fun activities, including The Rage Archery, Disc Golf, bounce houses and more.
Visit our food court where there is always plenty of that great Festival Food available for everyone’s enjoyment.
The most anticipated feature of the festival are the Historical Re-enactments. The good guys prevail over the bad guys and the cowboys spend time in between performances talking to the children and giving counsel on gun safety.
